The Author and Wherryville Press
Elspeth Stevenson has been teaching and writing educational resources for traditional publishers for many years, while plotting an alternative existence as storyteller in a fictional realm inspired by her home in Cornwall. She can now share it with you in paperback. Although limited geographically to the far west of the UK, she’d be delighted to visit your school where travel time permits and offer creative writing and arts-based workshops sharing her love of writing, the environment, and the sea.
Wherryville Press came into existence when, poised to send the manuscript for Seal/Girl to publishers, the coronavirus pandemic hit and the author realised there was little immediate prospect of getting the book to readers via the traditional route within a reasonable timeframe. Wherryville Press is exclusively the imprint of the author and a beloved part of the creative space occupied by the Seal/Girl world.
